Precedent transactions
Recent M&A in the sector with implied multiples and what they suggest about strategic value.
Search for acquisitions in the relevant sector over the past 3–5 years. For each transaction capture acquirer, target, date, deal value, and any disclosed revenue or EBITDA multiple. Present a table and summarise the multiple range, the strategic rationale patterns, and how the subject would be valued on those multiples. Flag where deal terms were not disclosed rather than guessing. Cite every number you use. Prefer primary data (financial statements, filings, official statistics) over commentary. When you show a time series, put it in a chart block via a dataRef and let the stats engine describe its shape; then interpret the shape in the bullets. State plainly what you could not verify.
